How, Why a “tumultous” meeting, which ended in the early hours of Wednesday in Port Harcourt, took the “decisive position”

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) team of Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike has withdrawn from the presidential campaign of Atiku Abubakar, the party’s candidate.

Platforms Africa gathered that this decision was taken at a meeting in Port Harcourt early on Wednesday morning.

Members of the team, according to a source at the meeting, promised not to participate in Atiku’s campaign activities until the removal of the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.

“Our stand remains unchanged. Ayu must go for justice and equality between the North and the South. The official position will be communicated very shortly,” he said after leaving their tumultuous meeting in Port Harcourt early on Wednesday morning.
